Albrightians Around the Globe

Kelly Cross ’08 recently reached out to Albright to share a wonderful story of Albrightians around the globe. Kelly, who is currently teaching English to children in Korea, was successful in organizing a gathering of Albright alumni in Seoul. Many of those who gathered were Koreans who had studied in the ESL program. All professed a love for Albright and a “family feeling” that continues to this day. Kelly wrote:

“You know and I know the intangible feeling that is Albright that makes it special. Well, that feeling has crossed over continents and oceans and is very alive and well in Asia. I was left speechless this past weekend and full of gratitude because everywhere I go there is support and love from Albright. How can one tiny liberal arts college in Reading, Pa., continually provide that? It's incredible and a great blessing!”

We couldn’t agree more!

In Memoriam

It is with great sadness that we share that Charlotte Price died February 20, 2010. Charlotte, a 1939 graduate, became director of the Modern Foreign Language Lab in 1952. She was recognized for her 55 years of service to Albright in August 2007, and the following story about Charlotte appeared in The Albright Reporter in 2006. www.albright.edu/reporter/winter2006/retirement.html.
Please take a moment to remember Charlotte, a truly integral member of Albright's community for so many years.
